Delhi - Smog City Day 2
City tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat (where Mahatma
Gandhi was cremated); Red Fort (made famous by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan) and Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, which has three great gateways, four angle towers and two minarets constructed of alternating vertical strips of red sandstone and white marble.
We Continued onwards to Chandni Chowk, the main street of Old Delhi in a colourful shopping bazaar, and then enjoyed a rickshaw ride through the colourful market!
Next up was Laxminarayan
the beautiful Lotus Temple, also known as the Bahai Temple. Adherents of any faith can visit, pray or meditate.
After that we went back to our hotel. We went in search of something to eat and Kathy got hit by a motorbike and had her leg cut. It was only a small cut and was repaired by dettol and a Band-Aid.
