Today we travelled by car from Delhi to Jaipur. About 6 hours.Roads varied greatly. Some were motorways some just rough dirt. Motorways don't have lines but it seems to work.
Driving in India 1 minute video Must be getting tired couldn't find my way out of bathroom. Too many mirrors! Today we had Mr Singh as our guide and he took control of the camera resulting in lots of pictures of us. We visited the temple first which was a great experience and then the markets. Next stop was the observatory which dates back many centuries and has the world's largest sundial. Next was the royal and water palces. For lunch I had Gulab jamun for desert which was delicious. The next stop was a block printing demonstration. After that it was our lucky day as Mr Singh seemed to know the guards which allowed us to drive to the Amber Fort while many thousands had to walk. Shopping was next where Kathy bought some shoes. Lastly a visit to a marble temple.
Early start for sunrise boat ride on Ganges. Back to our hotel for breakfast. At night we went to a festival beside the river. The traffic was unbelievable after leaving the festival. This picture doesn't show the motorbikes in the crowd.
